According to the U.S. Depatment of enery, the renewables market is projected to be worth $269 billion in cumulative revenue, with 126 Gw in the U.S. by the year 2018.
While this sounds promising, it will take much effort by companies like California Water and Power throughout the U.S. to make this projection a reality. Our work is vitally important for the generations that follow us, in an effort to leave them a better more secure energy future than the one we inherited.
The percentage of non-hydro renewable electrical generation has been growing fairly rapidly in the U.S. as a whole, but in the U.S. Department of Energy's estimation, it has remained between 10% and 14% of total generation in California between 2001 and 2012. California Water and Power looks to grow and take the lead in pushing California's percentage of renewable energy production percentage one Megawatt at a time.
